Yoga is a great way to destress, build strength and gain mobility. People come for all sorts of reasons. To get fit, loose weight, become more flexible, to sleep better or to improve their wellbeing. Kathy teaches a style of yoga called Vinyasa Flow, a practise that connects movement with the breath. Kathy currently teaches at the Young Performers Dance Studio in the heart of Cirencester town. It’s a lovely light-filled, airy studio, with ample space to stretch out and move. While you'll find her regular scheduled classes below, she can also arrange private group or 1-2-1 yoga sessions with you.

We are lucky to live in a beautiful part of the UK with plenty of waterways. The Cotswold Water Park is just outside Cirencester with a large number of lakes. Kathy has regular SUP Yoga classes over the Summer months from end of May onwards at Cotswold Water Park Hire (Lake 86), and teaches Standup Paddleboarding too. Private 1:1 or group sessions can be arranged at Lake 86 or other lakes too.

Yoga Studio Class prices: £11 drop in or £50 for a block of 6  (£8.33 a class)  

6 Class Pass: Buy 6 classes in advance for £50, valid for all weekly classes, giving you flexibility and a wider choice of classes. Valid for 6 months.

Class description:

Monday 5:30pm/ Wednesday 7pm General all abilities - build on the fundamentals of yoga, working on strength, flexibility and balance, suitable for all with or without yoga experience.  

Friday 9:30am gentle flow -  introduces the basic yoga poses, teaching proper alignment, breathing techniques and is suitable for beginners and more experienced yogis, those looking to build on strength and flexibility in a gentle way

Yoga Group and 1:1 Privates

Private sessions are a great way to work on a number of things, specifically for you. With focussed attention and guidance you can receive a bespoke session based on your health, lifestyle and goals.

Privates can be either organised in clients home, or at a suitable venue (although this option will incur a further charge), and can be for a group or 1:1.

  • Learn the foundations of certain poses

  • Learn to practise with injuries or conditions

  • Practise in a way that suits your needs - maybe a strong flowing session or focusing on meditation or relaxation

  • Learn techniques that specifically support you - learn some deep relaxation techniques to aid sleeping, or learn postures that can give you an energy boost

My other love is water.  I love the calming qualities, the stillness and tranquility. The linked breath and movement of swimming and paddling is very similar to Vinyasa Flow yoga. If I'm not in the studio, then you'll often find me out on the water. Come say Hello and we can share a paddle together! I can't think of a better combination - Water and Yoga - it always ends with a few giggles, and definitely more of a challenge than a studio-based class. 

I'm a qualified BSUPA Stand Up Paddleboard instructor for beginners (BSUPA Ready to Ride), British Canoe SUP instructor and SUPFit SUP Yoga instructor, and teach at Cotswold Water Park Hire (Lake 86, Spine Road. Next door to Cotswold Outdoors).  

Details of scheduled classes are below, but I'm available for private SUP and SUP Yoga sessions too, at Lake 86 or possibly other lakes too. Hoping to be taking out river groups soon too. Watch this space!

Private sessions for SUP Yoga and Standup Paddleboarding are a great way to arrange time out on the water to a schedule that suits you. At either Cotswold Water Park Hire (Lake 86), or on a lake closer to you, I can hire out boards, paddles and buoyancy aids and provide tuition.

SUP Yoga - All abilities yoga class on a paddleboard. Must be able to swim 50 metres. Under 18s with adult present.

SUP and SUP Yoga is weather dependent, and as your safety and enjoyment is always my primary concern, there may be times that a class needs to be cancelled due to poor weather, most often strong winds. If this is the case, then you’ll be able to book onto an alternative session.
